If your brain allows you to start one task and see it through to completion, can I step inside your mind for just a few moments to see what that feels like? Here's how my time unfolded this morning:
- See note on counter to look up something on internet.
- Go to computer, get distracted by emails and Facebook.
- Start work on crafting necklace for A.
- In looking for components for same, start pulling elements for collage for B.
- Try to put a hole through a small wooden disc with a bead reamer, which did not work. Lesson learned.
- Open patio door and yell at squirrel to get off bird feeder.
- 11:00 a.m. Do not turn on The Price Is Right, Laura. Do not go there.
- Pop in Hugh Laurie "Didn't It Rain" CD instead. Yes, I still listen to CDs.
- There are those earrings I didn't finish last night.
- How can I get a hole through an acorn?
- "Write something every day," a sage friend told me. Some call him Jim. Time to write, but what? Think I'll revive my grad school blog one. more. time.
Eventually, I will need to corral my thoughts but today I'm going with the (creative) flow. Giving each day over for the Lord to bless. Projects will be completed in due course.
The good news is that, if you feeling like calling to talk with me, you don't need to worry about interrupting my train of thought. That train has likely already derailed anyway.
The scavenger hunt will soon begin for places I can work and interact with other humans without spending too much money. I have a feeling the library will be seeing a lot of me.
Now...time for lunch, and I see no need to change my custom of a midday power nap.
